Waste Disposal Camden Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of waste collection and disposal services by Waste Disposal Camden to residential and commercial customers. By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing a booking for any waste collection service.
1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the following meanings:
1.1 "Company", "we", "us", and "our" mean Waste Disposal Camden, the provider of waste collection and disposal services.
1.2 "Customer", "you", and "your" mean the individual or business that books or uses our services.
1.3 "Services" means any waste collection, removal, transportation, and disposal service provided by us.

3. Booking Process
3.1 Bookings for our services can be made by telephone or through our online contact and booking channels where available. You must provide accurate and complete information about the type, quantity, and location of the waste, as well as suitable contact and access details.
3.2 When you make a booking, we will provide you with an approximate quotation based on the information you supply. This quotation may be subject to change if, upon arrival, the type or volume of waste differs from your description, or if there are access or safety issues not previously disclosed.
3.3 Your booking is considered an offer to purchase our services. We may accept or decline your booking at our discretion. A contract is formed only when we confirm acceptance of your booking and provide a scheduled collection time or time window.
3.4 You are responsible for ensuring that you, or an authorised representative, are available at the property at the agreed time to grant access and confirm the waste to be collected. In some cases, we may be able to collect waste from an agreed location without your presence, provided that prior arrangements have been made.
4. Access and Site Conditions
4.1 You must ensure that our collection team has safe, unobstructed access to the waste at the scheduled collection time. This includes providing necessary instructions for entry, parking, or loading where applicable.
4.2 If we are unable to access the site or the waste due to locked gates, parking restrictions, blocked access, unsafe conditions, or incorrect address details, and we are unable to complete the collection as a result, we may at our discretion charge an attendance or aborted visit fee.
4.3 You must inform us in advance of any specific access limitations, building regulations, loading restrictions, or other constraints that could affect the collection. Failure to do so may lead to delays, additional charges, or an inability to carry out the service.
5. Waste Types and Restrictions
5.1 You agree to present only permitted waste for collection. We do not accept certain hazardous or specialist waste, including but not limited to asbestos, clinical waste, chemicals, solvents, gas bottles, certain electrical items, liquids, and any other items that we notify you are not accepted.
5.2 You must not conceal prohibited or hazardous waste within other items, containers, or bags. If we discover such waste on site, we may refuse to collect it or require additional charges to cover specialist handling, transportation, and disposal, if this is legally permissible.
5.3 You confirm that all waste presented for collection is owned by you or that you have the full authority of the owner to dispose of it. You will indemnify us against any claims or losses arising from unauthorised disposal.
6. Pricing and Quotations
6.1 Our pricing is generally based on the volume, weight, type, and handling requirements of the waste, as well as the location of the collection within our Service Area.
6.2 Any quotation provided before collection is an estimate only, based on the information you provide. The final price will be confirmed once our team has inspected the waste at the site.
6.3 If the waste quantity or nature is substantially different from that described at the time of booking, or if additional labour, time, or equipment is required, we may revise the price. You will be informed of the revised price before we proceed. If you decline the revised price, we reserve the right to charge a call-out or cancellation fee to cover our costs.
7. Payments
7.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on or before completion of the collection. We may require payment in advance for certain services or for commercial customers.
7.2 Payment may be made by cash, debit card, credit card, bank transfer, or other methods that we make available. For card or electronic payments, your payment details must be valid, complete, and authorised.
7.3 For approved account customers, payment terms will be agreed separately. If payment is not received by the due date, we may charge interest on overdue amounts, recover reasonable costs of debt collection, and suspend further services until all sums are paid in full.
7.4 All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Any applicable VAT will be added to the total amount payable in accordance with current UK law.
8. Cancellations and Amendments
8.1 You may cancel or amend a booking by contacting us directly. To avoid charges, cancellations or changes must normally be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled collection time, unless a different notice period has been communicated to you.
8.2 If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or if we attend the site and are unable to complete the collection due to reasons within your control, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable cancellation or aborted visit fee.
8.3 We may, at our discretion, waive or reduce cancellation charges in exceptional circumstances, but we are not under any obligation to do so.
8.4 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking where necessary due to operational reasons, safety concerns, adverse weather, access issues outside our control, or other events beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, we will aim to provide as much notice as possible and offer an alternative collection date.
9. Performance of Services
9.1 We will use reasonable care and skill in providing our services and will make reasonable efforts to attend within the agreed time window. However, any times quoted for arrival or completion are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
9.2 We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, accidents, breakdowns, weather conditions, access issues, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If a delay occurs, we will aim to inform you and arrange a revised collection time.
9.3 Our collection teams may take photographs of the waste before and after collection for the purpose of record keeping, compliance, and resolving any queries regarding the service provided.
10. Title and Responsibility for Waste
10.1 Title and responsibility for the waste will pass from you to us at the point at which we load the waste onto our vehicle, provided that the waste is lawful for us to collect and dispose of.
10.2 If we discover after collection that the waste includes prohibited or hazardous items which were not declared, we reserve the right to return such items to you, or to charge you for any additional costs incurred in handling, storing, transporting, or disposing of them in accordance with applicable regulations.
11. Compliance with Waste Regulations
11.1 We operate in accordance with applicable UK waste management laws and regulations, including relevant environmental and duty of care legislation. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that waste is transported and disposed of by licensed facilities and in a lawful manner.
11.2 You agree to cooperate with us in providing any information reasonably required to comply with legal obligations, including details of the origin and nature of the waste. Where necessary, appropriate documentation will be completed to evidence the transfer and disposal of waste.
11.3 You must not request or encourage any disposal method that is unlawful or contrary to environmental regulations. We will refuse any request that involves fly-tipping, unauthorised dumping, or any other illegal activity.
12. Liability and Limitations
12.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under UK law.
12.2 Subject to clause 12.1, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with any single service or series of related services, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total price paid or payable by you for the relevant services.
12.3 We will not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, or anticipated savings arising out of or in connection with our services or these Terms and Conditions.
12.4 You are responsible for ensuring that any items you wish to keep are clearly separated from waste to be collected. We accept no liability for the removal of items that you or your representatives have placed with the waste and that are reasonably assumed to be intended for disposal.
12.5 You must notify us in writing of any claim or complaint relating to damage, loss, or service issues as soon as reasonably practicable and, in any event, within 7 days of the collection date. We may request supporting information, photographs, or access for inspection as part of any investigation.
13. Customer Obligations and Indemnity
13.1 You agree to provide accurate information, safe access, and lawful waste for collection. You also agree to follow any reasonable instructions given by our staff in relation to health and safety during the collection.
13.2 You will indemnify us against all claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms and Conditions, from your failure to comply with applicable laws, or from any misdescription of the waste you provide.
14. Data Protection and Privacy
14.1 We collect and process personal data such as your name, contact details, address, and payment information for the purpose of administering bookings, providing services, and maintaining records.
14.2 We will take reasonable steps to protect your personal information and will not share it with third parties except where necessary to deliver our services, comply with legal obligations, or where you have given your consent.
15. Variations to Terms
15.1 We may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect when published on our website or otherwise communicated to you.
15.2 The Terms and Conditions applicable to your service will be those in force at the time you make your booking, unless a change is required by law or governmental authority, in which case the updated terms may apply immediately.
16. Severability
